MEDICAL AND WELFARE

The Project initiated a medical and social welfare department in endeavor to curb increasingly treads of diseases in the community such as; HIV & AIDS. Tuberculosis, Malaria, cancer among others. This department is headed by medical/social welfare officers. The Project aids needy and sickly clients in provision of; Accessibility to health facilities Few of burial fee expenses. Hospital bill medicine initially, the Project was spending a lot of money in meeting these needs. This is because most of the sickly people could not even take themselves to the referral health facilities from their homes. The project intervened in facilitating such clients to hospitals and paying their bills. After some time, this became very expensive and inconvenient to the Project. The Project Management board came up with the idea of registering the Project as an N.H.I.F Agency.

Our Medical Partners

Currently the project has registered 370 clients to the N.H.I.F. Medical Scheme hence reducing the burden for the Project. This involves outpatient and inpatient covers. As such the Project has saved a lot of money that would have gone to hospital bills. The Project buys medicines for the sick poor people whom

In regard to Hospital bills, the Project only assist in paying small amount of the bills for the very poor patients who cannot afford to meet the cost. The hospital bills are paid in form of cheques direct to the hospital but not in cash form. The health facilities should then provide acknowledgement document. The  Project also assists the sickly clients whom doctors have advised to be put under proper diet, for instance those with blood shortage; the project provides such food supplements recommended by the health practitioners.
